Yesterday was so busy that I forgot to post here. Yesterday was busy because printers are evil.
End of blog post.
Lol, no.
Polly’s party planning (say that three times fast) is heavy underway and I am going at it. I had bought these beautiful antiqued 4x6 papers to handwrite all of her invites on, since we are only inviting about 15 families. Turns out hand lettering in a Hobbit font is harder than I remembered and that quickly turned out to be a bust. Thus, plan B was born. Since my printer is out of ink and I keep forgetting to buy more I loaded up Polly, myself and her invitations and took them to Alabama to work on them at my aunt and uncle’s office. They have a very nice fancy printer that was just what I needed.
I get there, design the invitations and start to print them. Predictably, they printed wrong. After much trial and error we figured out that the 4x6 pieces of paper were so small that no matter how we programmed them into the printer it just wouldn’t print correctly. I had the idea that we could tape them to a normal piece of paper since they were printing perfectly on those, but Debbie said that it may jam the printer.
So we suffered for another 45 minutes, on the brink of collapse and on the verge of pull out hair (and Debbie’s extensions) when she said ‘let’s try putting it on the normal sized paper’
It worked like a charm. I was amazed. We were relieved. It took almost two hours but FINALLY we got it.
It feels very exciting to get that done. It feels like one of the most challenging parts is over and the rest should be a breeze!
