I did a photoshoot for some family friends over the weekend and I forgot just how much I enjoyed doing that. They turned out super well and everyone was pleased by how they looked and I couldn’t be happier about it. I stopped doing photography right as ‘facebook photographers’ got big. Suddenly every mom with a camera became their own photography business and lots of them were just plain…bad. But they were cheap and advertised so they got business. Some of them got better and some quit, but I still feel like the market is saturated with photographers. Plus…..I hate photographing kids and families I don’t know, lol. I’m such a grouch when it comes to that. I have always loved highly stylized, magazine quality high fashion photography. I’d love to be in Atlanta and do it on a professional scale, but when I was 16 and thinking about doing it professionally I couldn’t pack up and move to the city and when Tripp and I got married and we had Polly I suddenly realized how I couldn’t work on the weekends and barely spend any time with Tripp when he was home. So now I settle for the occasional shoot for family and friends and I’m happy with that. Here’s a picture I took of my brother and his girlfriend, who happens to be my one of my dearest childhood friends.
