I have a very eccentric taste in movies. My favorite movies range from The Fall, to Kill Bill and the 2005 Pride and Prejudice. There aren’t any certain plots I enjoy, I don’t always care what the movies of the main characters are and if the cinematography and soundtrack are good then I’ll watch a movie no matter what the plot is.
Tripp is very much not that way. He likes movies with the hero’s journey plot line, characters with virtue and growth. Three of his top five movies are Braveheart, Gladiator and Cinderella Man.
This weekend we watched both Kill Bill movies after three years of me really wanting him to watch them but being afraid he would hate them and forever question my judgment. Thankfully he liked them, so now I feel like the breath I’ve been holding for three years can be exhaled, lol.
