52/365 eleven months of Polly

I had heard that if you blink your baby will be grown, yet I never took it to heart until I had Polly.

This year has gone by so quickly and it truly puts into perspective how fast the moments go. All the times I thought I couldn’t stay awake another moment, all the times she screamed hysterically in the car and I swore we would never drive anywhere ever again, all the hard moments were never truly that hard. They passed so suddenly, but the good moments passed even faster. Her first laugh, the first time she said dada and mama, her first genuine smile. It’s been eleven months of bliss, of those moments passing so fast and yet I feel like we’ve had her forever. I can’t imagine my life without her.

At eleven months she crawls SUPER fast, crawls up the stairs (with Mama carefully guiding her) cruises a lot and stands by herself for a short time. She says dada, mama and bye. She puts her hand to her ear like a phone when you say hello. She loves playing peek-a-boo, paddy cake and rocking her babies. She loves oatmeal, spaghetti, carrots, avocado and water. Everything goes in her mouth and so far she has eaten a peppercorn, part of a gum wrapper and carrots off the floor before I could get to her. I spend the vast majority of my time vacuuming to ensure she isn’t going to find anything to eat off the floor and still she manages to find stuff anyway. She loves to be held while I’m vacuuming, she squeals and laughs at the noise. OH and speaking of noise and squealing, she jabbers all. The. Time. It’s adorable and I repeat everything back to her like we have our own made up language. She also loves to be outside and will point out the window when she wants to go out for a walk. She loves watching Zelda and the goats and horses and cows. She could definitely stay outside all day and be perfectly happy with that.

She’s such a happy baby, she loves playing and exploring and she makes us so happy. She is coming out of her shell more and will now let other people hold her without crying for me which is fun.

Her birthday party planning is happening and we are trying to figure out what the buy the baby who has everything ðŸ˜‚ I wanted to buy her a baby kitchen but they all seem only appropriate for toddlers, and Lord knows she does not need another baby doll, lol.

She is our darling and I love her so much I can hardly stand it.
