25/365 walmart is great, covid is not, I’m always in love with Tripp

Yesterday and today have been stressful. Tripp potentially has covid, and Polly is teething with a snotty nose and an occasional sneeze and cough. I’ve been pretty scared, especially since we know so many who have had covid and died. We went to Urgent Care in Rome today and he got tested, and thankfully the rapid test came back negative but we are waiting on the results of the send off. It’s like a sigh of relief I’m holding onto just in case it’s not simply a nasty cold. His lungs sounded good, which I am thrilled about.

Thank goodness for Walmart pickup, because in all of these hectic health worries at least I was able to get groceries. For real, what did we do before walmart pickup? I literally grocery shopped from my couch, didn’t impulse buy a single thing, and then went and got it after we got back from urgent care.

Magic. I love it.

Also, I do this thing sometimes cause I’m a three year old, where when the occasion is right (like if we’re on a walk and the sky is pretty, or we’re flirting) I jokingly ask Tripp to propose to me again. I take off my engagement ring and give it to him and laugh when he goes along with me and humors me with kneeling and all that lark. Tonight we sat down in the dim of the kitchen with only a candle on the table as we ate. Like clockwork, I said ‘let’s pretend like we’re at a fancy restaurant and you can propose to me again.’ So he did, except this time he pointed out that I was still wearing my wedding band so I had to take it off too before he ‘proposed.’

I’m very ecstatic to say that just like the first time, and all the other times I’ve prompted him to ask, I said yes.

We’re very excited and registered at Williams-Sonoma. :p In my mind the pretend fancy restaurant gave us free dinner and a dessert to celebrate.
